RULES
This tournament is for TCFP certified Firefighters only. The 5 on 5 tournament will be played using NCAA Rules. Each game will consist of (2) 20 minute halves. Tournament medals will be awarded to all players whose teams place 1st, 2nd, & 3rd. A MVP award will be given to the 1st place team to award to their MVP of choice. Each 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place team will receive a team trophy as well.
We will use a pool play format for the tournament. Ensuring all teams play at least 3 games the first day and the best records will determine the seeding for the second day which will be finals.
Cities may combine to make a team EXCEPT for Austin, Dallas, Ft. Worth, Houston, and San Antonio. Team rosters shall be limited to 11 members, including coach/player coach.
The game schedules will be provided by the Monday before the tournament start on Wednesday. There will be a Coaches Meeting at 0800 on the first tournament day. All rosters/liability release forms must be turned in at this time. Firefighter certifications will be verified on through the TCFP website.
We will have a 3 point shoot out at noon on the first day. Trophy’s will be provided.
