UPDATE: 2021 Texas Firefighter Summer Games have been cancelled. This was not an easy decision to make but was unanimous among the coordinators. The main factor was financial. The host hotel reached out to their legal team and we were informed that even though the state was opening to 100%, all protocols would still be enforced (sanitizing, masks indoors, social distancing). This included an increase in ballroom space prices from $729/day to $2,000/day along with the 23% service charge and taxes to cover the labor for sanitizing three times a day. The increase of $10, 236.38 has made the 2021 Lewisville Games not financially viable. We felt it best that if we are unable to relax and enjoy being around each other without restrictions then our efforts would be better spent focusing on 2022 in New Braunfels. We are looking to make 2022 epic as we can to have the Games how we want to have them and what y’all have come to expect, with camaraderie and friendship among us all. We Thank You for your understanding in this decision and look forward to 2022 and new beginnings.
